I guess the first question to ask is, how do you run your personal training business? What is your attitude towards clients both new and existing? The reason I ask this question is based on the service I receive at my local car wash. In the UK, we have seen a lot of these hand car wash services pop up all over the place where they will clean and try your car for five pounds or so. These guys work ten hour days come rain or shine.
I have four of these car wash places within a square mile of my house! I guess they are all owned by the same people and to be honest, they all keep busy. The work ethic these guys have is fantastic, they work all day, they smile and make your car look sparkling for five pounds a go! I once had the experience of them cleaning my wheel trims with a tooth brush!
What has washing cars got to do with personal training? Not a great deal! The point I am making is about the service I receive. Whether you are a self employed personal trainer or do personal training as a job, the lessons learnt from these guys is clear to see. These guys change five pounds and deliver great friendly service, they always smile and pay close attention to detail. The outcome? People flood back in their dozens and actually know these guys personally now.
